Short interview

Painting from your favourite photo and choosing colour theme. I begin with a ten minute interview to get to know you or your pet at a deeper level. I use that information to capture more of who you are in my portrait.

Initial sketching

When you commission a portrait, you’ve opened the door to your life and allowed me to be a part of it.

Layers of paint

I concentrate on the lighting, how the colours must harmonize, how compositional elements must lead the eye around the painting, how I need to create a mood.

Final painting

My turnaround time is usually about two weeks. I love the hugs that I get when I present the finished portrait.

I am mostly inspired by nature and its beauty, the vivid colours of flowers, the power of ocean, the magic of sunsets, and the interplay between light and shadows. I also like to capture people’s emotions.

My art is instantly recognizable in its ability to tell a narrative that is at once evocative. Whether a portrait depicts a person or your furry baby, it conveys a unique story that can be treasured for a lifetime.
